MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – Brewton-Parker Women's Soccer kicked off the 2022 regular season with a home matchup against Webber International (Fla.) on Friday night.
The Lady Barons (0-1) slipped in a tough battle against the Warriors (1-0) with a 1-0 loss to open the season.
Interim Head Coach Phillip Borde gave his thoughts after the match. "Overall, we were second best and we did not perform at the level we wanted to," Borde said. "However, we have incorporated some new faces which will take time for the group to gel as a unit," Borde added.
"This group will be resilient and focused on the positives moving forward to put together better results. Not happy with the loss but happy that we were able to learn where we need to improve," Borde mentioned.
