Lady Barons Slip in Five-Set Senior Day Battle Against Middle Georgia

MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – Brewton-Parker hosted Middle Georgia on Saturday afternoon for Senior Day in the season finale.

Taylor Scarbrough was recognized prior to the match as the lone senior for the season. The Lady Barons (2-23, 2-16 SSAC) battled in a five-set match but fell short to the Knights (9-15, 5-13 SSAC).

How It Happened

  • The Lady Barons battled back from an early 4-0 deficit from the Knights, claiming the lead and pulling away to a 25-22 opening set win.
  • Middle Georgia responded well with a strong 25-14 win in set two to level the match.
  • Brewton-Parker flipped the script with a 25-18 victory in set three to extend the match to a fourth set.
  • The Lady Barons scrapped their way through the fourth set, but the Knight eventually snuck past BPC with a 25-21 win.
  • In the fifth and final set, Middle Georgia jumped out to a commanding 9-0 lead before securing the match in a dominant 15-4 win.
