MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – Brewton-Parker volleyball hosted (RV) Blue Mountain (Miss.) on Friday night to continue SSAC play.
The Lady Barons (1-19, 1-12 SSAC) slipped in straight sets to the highly talented Toppers (24-2, 12-1 SSAC) in Gillis Gymnasium.
How It Happened
- Blue Mountain opened the match with a dominant 25-7 victory, opening with seven-straight points before the Lady Barons could answer with a point of their own.
- Both teams traded scores back and forth to begin set two, the Toppers eventually secured a stable lead and pulled away to a 25-14 win to lead 2-0 in the match.
- In the third set, BMC held Brewton-Parker to just six points to win 25-6 and capture the match in straight sets.

- The Toppers notched 26 kills for a .268 hitting percentage with the Lady Barons producing 15 kills on the night.
- Naomi Taake led BPC with five kills followed by Kaitlin Reynolds with four.
- Katy Mathis notched eight assists and 11 digs to lead Brewton-Parker.
