Box Score HARDEEVILLE, S.C. -- Late second-half efforts from Brewton-Parker women's soccer led to a 3-2 victory over SCAD Savannah (Ga.) on Tuesday night.
The Lady Barons (2-2) were led by Aurora Miglio who scored a brace to help give BPC their second win of the season.
Coach Prince Borde shared his thoughts after the victory. "What a great result tonight," Borde mentioned. "This is all part of the puzzle we are piecing together as we move forward."
"We showed a tremendous amount of heart tonight to beat a very good SCAD team," Borde added. "We have a tough challenge coming up on Saturday and we will continue to fight through the season."
How It Happened
- Brewton-Parker opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a goal from Kadisha Martina off the assist from Deandra Pickering.
- SCAD Savannah equalized in the 32nd minute before adding another in the 41st minute to lead 2-1. The Bees closed the first half with a 2-1 lead over the Lady Barons.
- Brewton-Parker was outshot by SCAD Savannah 11 to 3 in the first 45 minutes of action.
- After nearly 10 minutes into the second half, Miglio connected on a corner from Pickering to equalize the match at 2-2 in the 54th minute.
- Miglio then gave the Lady Barons the 3-2 lead in the 83rd minute, finding the back of the net off a pass from Martina.
- The Barons held off the swarming Bees' attack in the final few minutes to secure the victory.
- SCAD Savannah outshot Brewton-Parker in the second half 10 to 6.

- Miglio gathered her third goal of the season while Pickering notched her third assist on the year.
- Both Miglio and Martina notched four shots in the match to lead the Lady Barons. Miglio found three shots on goal while Martina found one.
