MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – The Brewton-Parker women's soccer program fell to Ave Maria (Fla.) 3-2 on Saturday afternoon in Mount Vernon.

The Lady Barons were defeated by the Gyrenes despite the two-goal effort.

How It Happened

• Ave Maria opens the scoring in the 42nd minute, taking the 1-0 lead.
• The Gyrenes take a 2-0 advantage in the 57th minute.
• Brewton-Parker answered in the 67th minute with a goal from Shelby Harvey pulling one back from Ave Maria.
• Just a few minutes later, the Lady Barons evened the score to 2-2 in the 73rd off the foot of Harvey, assisted by Alexandra Viera.
• Ave Maria scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 78th minute to seal the 3-2 defeat for the Lady Barons.
