Box Score MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – After an unusual spring season, the Brewton-Parker women's soccer program is set to return to fall competition for its 2021 campaign.
The Lady Barons kick off the season hosting Life (Ga.) on Thursday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. ET. Thursday's match begins a campaign that is just 132 days removed since Brewton-Parker's last match.
The program looks to add to their successes from last season where they gathered a postseason victory in the Southern States Athletic Conference Tournament Opening Round, finishing the season 9-9-1 overall and 2-4 in the SSAC.
Life visits Mount Vernon on Thursday after defeating SSAC foe Dalton State (Ga.) 2-1 on Tuesday night. Last season, the Running Eagles tallied an overall record of 7-8-2 and were 2-8-1 in conference play. Life holds a 2-0 overall record over the Lady Barons. Both sides last met in 2018.
Head Coach Prince Borde stated his excitement for the season to begin and how the ladies have prepared for the 2021 campaign. "As a program, we are in a great place.," Borde said. "We have a mature group of student-athletes that understand that we should not take anything for granted."
"We play in one of the best conferences in the NAIA and we have continued to improve year after year," Borde added. "I am extremely proud of this group and what they possess as student-athletes of Brewton-Parker College. We have had a successful preseason and we cannot wait to see what God has in store for our program this season."
