DAYTON, Tenn. – The Brewton-Parker Lady Barons hit the road and headed north to Dayton, Tenn. to take part in the 2021 Bryan College Classic for the weekend. BPC faced the hosting Lions on Friday night.

How It Happened

  • The Lions opened the first quarter scoring from the charity stripe before Micah Bess opened the scoring for the Lady Barons to give BPC the early one-point lead. After a few back-and-forth efforts to produce a few lead changes, the game was equalized at 8-8 as well as 10-10 before Bryan managed to control the scoreline for the rest of the period. The Lions closed out the first quarter with a 15-14 lead.
  • In the second quarter, Bryan continued to claim hold of the lead as they found an offensive spark to boost their advantage to double-digits. The Lions' lead got as high as 14 points late into the quarter before they closed out the half with a 39-28 lead at the break.
  • Bryan quickly moved their lead to 15 to open the third quarter but Brewton-Parker continued to battle to pull within a single-digit deficit. The Lions continued to hold their lead into the fourth quarter.
