Box Score MOUNT VERNON, Ga. -- The Brewton-Parker women's soccer program dropped Mobile (Ala.) on Saturday evening with a 5-0 victory.
The Lady Barons (7-7, 3-0 SSAC) defeated the Rams (1-9-1, 1-2 SSAC) in dominant fashion for the third-straight conference win.
How It Happened
- The Lady Barons found the net quickly as Kadisha Martina netted a goal under a minute from the opening kick to give Brewton-Parker the 1-0 lead. Sarah De Gannes advanced the ball to Martina who found her 14th goal of the season.
- Brewton-Parker continued to pressure on the attack, outshooting Mobile 4-2 after the opening score.
- In the 15th minute, Aurora Miglio scored with the help of Martina to give the Lady Barons the 2-0 lead over the Rams. Martina found the feet of Miglio inside the 18-yard box as Miglio found the net with a low shot to the corner.
- In the following few minutes, Mobile managed to gather four shots and kept Brewton-Parker away with just one shot.
- The Lady Baron would not be denied for another score as Melia Cunningham bagged the Lady Barons' third goal of the night with Miglio assisting her efforts.
- Both sides traded offensive efforts, but the half would close with a 3-0 lead in favor of Brewton-Parker.
- The Lady Barons needed less than a minute to net the fourth goal of the match as De Gannes scored with the help of Deandra Pickering.
- Brewton-Parker was able to tack on one final goal in the 77th minute as Kamryn Laster found the back of the net on a solo effort.
