Box Score MACON, Ga. -- The Brewton-Parker volleyball program fell to Middle Georgia 3-0 on Friday afternoon.
The Lady Barons (2-14, 0-7 SSAC) fought hard in the opening set but were unable to win a match against the Knights (5-6, 1-6 SSAC).
How It Happened
- In the opening set, Brewton-Parker led for most of the set and were up 20-11 before Middle Georgia fought their way back into the set. The Knights managed to even the set at 22-22 before taking the next three points for the 1-0 lead.
- In set two, Middle Georgia opened with an early lead and never looked back. The Lady Barons found it difficult to gain any ground on the Knights who captured the set 25-14 for a 2-0 lead in the match.
- For the third set, both teams traded points before a 10-10 stalemate. Middle Georgia pulled away from Brewton-Parker to ultimately gather the final set 25-17 for the sweep.
Inside The Statistics
- Brewton-Parker totaled 27 kills in the match with Middle Georgia recording a total of 41. The Lady Barons had their match-high kills in set one with 12.
- Both Noelle Primus and Kinsley Jordan were credited with 10 kills apiece. Primus finished with a .250 hitting percentage while Jordan finished hitting for .194 percent.
- As a team, the Lady Barons recorded a .152 attacking percentage with the Knights gathering a .263 percentage.
- Marina Dennis garnered 22 assists on the afternoon with 12 digs as well.
- Jala Merriweather led the team with 13 digs.
