Box Score HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Brewton-Parker volleyball program fell to William Carey (Miss.) 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Barons (2-18, 0-11 SSAC) were defeated by the Crusaders (15-9, 8-3 SSAC) in straight sets.
How It Happened
- After a ton of back-and-forth for most of the first set, the Lady Barons took control of the opening set after leveling the set 16-16. Brewton-Parker's lead was short-lived as the Crusaders quickly took control to ultimately win the set 25-22.
- As for set two, the Lady Barons struggled to piece scores together as William Carey captured the set 25-5 to lead 2-0 in the match.
- In the third set, William Carey continued their dominant form as they opened with a 12-0 lead in the set. Brewton-Parker could not produce on the attack as the Crusaders pulled away to win 25-8 and to win the match 3-0.

- As a team, Brewton-Parker totaled 19 kills while William Carey tallied 45 kills on the afternoon.
- The Crusaders notched just seven attacking errors while the Lady Barons totaled 24.
- Kinsley Jordan led with nine kills while also tallying eight digs.
- The duo of Teishawna Hughes and Taylor Scarbrough both recorded three kills each.
- Janessa Ortega led with 11 digs while Marina Dennis led with 16 assists.
