Box Score MOUNT VERNON, Ga. -- The Brewton-Parker volleyball program fell to SSAC foe Blue Mountain (Miss.) in three sets on Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Barons (2-16, 0-9 SSAC) were unable to produce enough momentum to threaten the Toppers (20-5, 8-1 SSAC).
How It Happened
- Blue Mountain took control of the opening set early and did not look back as they were able to secure the 1-0 lead in the match with a 25-16 set victory.
- In the second set, the Toppers continued their dominant form as they defeated the Lady Barons 25-9.
- For set three, the Brewton-Parker struggled to piece together a response to Blue Mountain. The Toppers gathered set three 25-17 to win the match 3-0.
Inside The Statistics
- The Lady Barons could not find success on the attack as they produced just 13 kills on the afternoon while the Toppers totaled 40.
- Kinsley Jordan led BPC with six kills while also adding seven digs with Tess Yarbrough leading the Lady Barons with 14 digs on the afternoon.
- Marina Dennis gathered 10 assists and two service aces on the day.
- The Lady Barons totaled 33 digs, four aces, and 11 assists as a team. BPC also gathered a solo block and four block assists for three total blocks.
